Why play Luxon over Kurzick in FA? - Guild Wars Forums

With how easily a single player on the Kurzick side can harass the Luxons mines and commanders, how easy it is to have a team of mesmers behind walls hindering attackers with ease, and how often the turtles glitch, I can't really see a reason to play Luxon in FA after the addition of Imperial faction.

For the challange. If I wanted something easy I would go play chess with my 6y old cousin.

(And faster matches, I preffer offensieve over defensive playstyles etc etc.)

Faster wins, too. Kurzick wins always have to go pretty long. Luxons have the potential to win in five minutes if they're steam-rolling.

Luxon side is just more fum, imho. With the exception of the turtle glitch or them having too many healers, most of the kurzick stuff can be overcome with good tactics. Hell, scourge healing alone can have a huge impact.

Started off as Kurzick long ago. Switched to Luxon, Luxon 12. FA is variable for Luxon but for me always fun win or lose. Think I unlocked a good part of the game there over a long period of time. For me, more fun to attack than defend.

Scourge Healing/Enchantment, Well of the Profane, and clever tactics can really put matches in Luxon favor. Sadly, most players don't really take the time to consider the tricks to get around the standard defensive practices and just bumble around "killing stuff."

I'm in a Kurzick guild, by the way.... But I've always liked playing Luxon in FA.

The turtle glitches are a little annoying, though.

If FA was an organized arena, the kurzicks would almost always win. Have two rangers to stall the turtles, a rit to cap/run amber, a ST rit, and four monks.

However, it is not. And, similar to AB, the players on the Luxon side seem to be more competent then the Kurzicks (I have no idea why) so they win a lot more often than you would think.

Untrue about AB. The competent players play both sides, they usually choose the weaker side or less populated side. (Though, with the map always being ancestral/grenz, you're quite right).

For FA, I play lux or kurz depending on what I am. If I'm playing warrior I will choose kurzick for obvious reasons, but If I'm playing a mesmer or some other midline I will go luxon.

The luxons still win FA from time to time. but these moments are few and far between. I also noticed that the luxons are a lot less talkative after Imperial faction was introduced :/ It's like either their morale is shattered, or the only people over there are just there as a courtesy because they know that if no one enters the lux side, no matches will start xD

Since the introduction of imperial faction, it doesn't really bother me which side I play for anymore. Kurzicks may win more often in my experience, but Luxons get more games, so the amount of faction gained over time is probably fairly similar, maybe even in favour of the Luxons depending on how lopsided the numbers waiting on each side are.
